Bread and Weather - Grapefruit Bergamot Essential Oil Soy Candle

While I think its perfect all year round, I think the gentle smell of Bergamot and the tartness of the Grapefruit makes it citrusy, floral, and slightly spicy. It is so nice when your not quite ready to emerge from your bubble but you do know want to know spring is coming.

Ella’s Notes: I created this candle in January ‘23 because I wanted something that reflected the mood and feeling of midwinter transitioning into early spring. I love the peaceful, sleeping feeling of January when the trees are bare and the birds are quiet. Nature looks to be asleep but, new beginnings are on the way.

What oil blend could I make for a time when the warming spice blends of Autumn are behind us, the chaos of Christmas is over, but we are not ready for the full floral and herbal bouquets of Summer? With this oil blend I tried to make something as gentle and hopeful as snowdrops appearing from frozen ground in the sleeping garden. Something that whispers to the hibernating world that life is coming back around
